LED edge lighting - PUMA project

The project carried out for the PUMA brand is a dynamic undertaking that includes a wide range of activities concerning the realisation of LED panels using the Lumaire system.

The Lumaire system is an innovative project combining modern technology with exceptional design. The aim of the project is to create unique spaces that not only catch the eye, but also provide users with an unforgettable lighting experience. Thanks to the advanced Lumaire system, the LED panels provide dynamic lighting that can be adapted to different needs and moods. The Lumaire system stands out for its versatility and customisability. This project aims not only to highlight the modernity and innovation of the PUMA brand, but also to inspire others to explore new possibilities in design and lighting technology.

Project details:

-> LUMAIRE textil black panels -1215x591x23.2mm - backlighting with 24V 4000K LED strip - current consumption of the whole panel is 36W

-> graphic - Canvas fabric ( canvas structure )

-> printing - by sublimation - sublimation is a chemical process. The print is made using sublimation inks. These are actually dyes that bind exclusively to polyester fibres. When the carbon paper is pressed onto the product in an industrial press, the dye is heated, two important processes take place: the dye changes its state of aggregation directly from solid to gaseous, and the polyester fibres of the fabric open up and accept the dye, which penetrates into them instead of being deposited on the surface, as is the case with other methods of applying graphics to the product. When the heat stops, the fibres close again, permanently absorbing the sublimation dye. The end result of the process is a clear image “printed” into the fabric - which is imperceptible to the touch.
